April is here, the sun is shining and it’s a 4 day work week. Spring has officially started 🌸
Highlights from this month’s newsletter include:

Space News
We’ve been upgrading and replacing the lights around our space so that they are more eco friendly, and provide a warmer, brighter environment. Andy, our electrician, has done a fab job and he’ll be back in a few weeks to replace the last remaining lights 💡

We’ve got a snazzy new carpet in the kitchen to add a pop of colour and make the space more homely. The great news it that it’s washable so we can keep the space feeling fresh and clean each week 🧼

We’ve got a new addition to the Raw Space team – Erik, our hoover robot! We’ve been trialling using him first thing in the morning to help us keep on top of the cleaning and so far so good. We’ll see if the dogs feel the same way 🐾

Decoration of the front office is now complete and it’s been officially renamed the Sycamore Room. The space will be home to our ever growing Diamond members. Feel free to stick your head in and take a peek 🌳

If you’re looking to connect with your fellow Raw Spacers, come join us at one of our many events. They are a great way to get to know each other, take a break from work and have fun!
We have some running weekly and monthly, so plenty of choice depending on your schedule. No need to sign up, just show up on the day or join our WhatsApp groups to stay in the loop ✨
Mondays: Coffee & Connection @ 10am
Tuesdays: Bishopston Bagels @ 12pm
Wednesdays: Lunch Together on Gloucester Road @ 1pm
Thursdays: Drinks on Gloucester Road @ 5pm & Poker Night @ 7pm
Every 2nd Monday of the month: Games Night – next one on March 13th

External Events
Ecuadorian chocolate tasting 🍫
Carlos, a third generation Italian Ecuadorian chocolate maker, introduces you to the culture and heritage of chocolate through his handcrafted chocolates and Amazonian roots.
Vicolo Sei Chocolates are made with the finest quality Ecuadorian & Latin American cacao, think of this like wine tasting but with chocolate!
£35 per person for 2 hour workshop @ Raw Space
Includes – welcome drink, pairings whilst tasting, plus a goodie bag.
(15% discount for current Raw Space members)
Choose from April 7th, 20th or 21st from 6pm-8pm.

An evening of comedy 📣
Our fellow members Megan and Tom work for Action on Poverty and are hosting a comedy fundraiser night for their charity.
25th April – 7pm @ The Alma Vale Tavern

Book Swap 📚
Christina and Lou have suggested that we run a book swap evening here at Raw Space. The idea is that you bring your favourite nibbles, a couple of books you’re willing to swap and something to drink.
