Drinks Social 🥳

Our next drinks meetup is Thursday 13th June and we’re combining it with celebrating Lou’s birthday! Everyone is welcome and we’ll be heading to The Sportsman for pool, pizza and drinks 🍻

You can come for one, for many or the whole night! We’d just love to see you and it’s a wonderful way to meet and mingle with our community in a relaxed environment. Be sure to let us know you’re coming in our Whatsapp group chat and we’ll see you next week!

Space Updates 🚀

We are having lights fitted on the terrace on Thursday June 13th and an electrician will be onsite to install them. There will be some drilling outside the building so he can fit them and this may cause minor noise disruption within our space. Please be aware of this if you choose to come into the office and we hope it won’t be too disruptive.

We always have our phone booths and meeting room if you want to tuck yourself away at any stage. Thank you for your understanding.

Emma on Holiday 🗺

Starting from 1st July through to 21st July, Emma will be on holiday. We have the lovely Karen, Christina and Holly who will be providing cover, and Gareth will be on hand for anything membership or free trial related.

We’ll share more about this at the end of the month with clarity on how to contact us if you need to and who is covering which days should you need anything whilst in our space.

Have you seen us on Instagram? 📱

Over the last few weeks we’ve launched several adverts across Instagram and Facebook to spread the word about our space and our amazing community. You might have seen Christina or Ash chatting about why they chose our space and what they love about it.

How do you fancy a free lunch? We’re looking members to leave us a Google review so we can continue to grow our wonderful community 🥰 The more reviews we have, the easier it is for people to find us. Housekeeping Items 📄

A gentle reminder to please be mindful when taking phone calls in the main space or in our phone booths. Noise can easily travel around our open room layout and our phone booths are not 100% soundproofed. Please talk into your headset versus the whole room ☺️ The same request goes for playing content on your phone, please use headphones to watch or listen to anything. If you’re struggling with someone’s noise levels, we invite you to kindly and politely talk to them and share your preference ☎️

A gentle reminder to keep an eye on your hours if you’re on our Bronze and Silver memberships. We trust you to stay within your hours and let us know if you need to adjust your membership level to match your current hot desking needs ☺️

If you wish to pause or cancel your membership, please note that we require 30 days notice. As a small, independent business it supports us to manage our membership numbers and keep growing our community🌱

Member Spotlight 🔦

This month we’re spotlighting Martin Hare Robertson who joined us a couple of months ago back in April.

What do you do for work?

I work in Climate Tech as a staff software engineer for a small pre-seed startup called InRange that is working on putting more solar panels on more commercial rooftops. I write software to help enable landlords to sell cheap solar energy to their tenants. I’ve been passionate about working on Climate Change since 2019. What do you love to do outside of work?

Outside of work I love partner dancing – I travel to dance events in the UK and Europe on 5-10 weekend a year! I spend most of my time dancing Fusion, West Coast Swing, and Blues. I’m always looking for a good excuse to get out on my bike, for a walk, or to go bouldering – I don’t do any of these as much as I’d like to.

What do you love most about the Raw Space Community?

I love how friendly everyone is. It’s great to spend some time working away from home and meeting so many new lovely people.

What can Raw Spacers come to you for?

I started dancing in 2015 and I think more people should give it a try – if you’ve ever been tempted, come and speak to me about it! I’m also an avid reader and I’m always delighted to talk about whatever I’ve been reading recently and to hear your recommendations. Let’s grab a coffee together!

Who would you like to connect with?
